  1. About Us:

    • Hipster Lasers is a Toronto-based laser engraving company selling custom products online and at conventions.

  2. Eligibility & Governing Law:

    • You must be 18+ or have parental consent to purchase.
    • These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and applicable Canadian law.
    • Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

  3. Products & Custom Orders:

    • - We strive for accurate product descriptions and pricing; minor variations may occur.
    • - Custom orders require full prepayment and customer approval of final proofs.
    • - Custom products are non-refundable once approved.

  4. Pricing & Payment:

    • All prices in CAD unless stated otherwise; taxes and shipping apply.
    • Payment is processed securely via Shopify, Stripe, or PayPal.

  5. Shipping, Delivery & Risk of Loss:

    • Orders ship via Canada Post to Canada, the U.S., and select international destinations.
    • Processing time is typically 3–5 business days before shipment.
    • Risk of loss transfers to the customer upon delivery to the carrier.
    • We are not responsible for carrier delays, customs holds, or events beyond our control.

  6. Returns & Refunds:

    • - Non-custom products: returnable within 30 days if unused and in original condition.
    • - Customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
    • - Custom products: final sale unless defective.
    • - Initiate returns via info@hipsterlasers.com with your order number.

  7. Intellectual Property:

    • All product designs, images, and artwork are owned by Hipster Lasers.
    • Custom designs remain our property unless otherwise agreed.
    • You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute our designs without written consent.

  8. Limitation of Liability:

    • Our maximum liability for any claim is the purchase price of the product.
    • We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

  9. Indemnification:

    • You agree to indemnify Hipster Lasers against claims arising from misuse of products, website, or violation of these Terms.

  10. International Sales Disclaimer:

    • International buyers are responsible for any duties, taxes, or import restrictions.

  11. Force Majeure:

    • We are not responsible for delays or failures due to natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, or events beyond our control.

  12. Product Care & Safety:

    • All cutting boards and wood products are not dishwasher safe and include specific care instructions for longevity.

  13. Changes to Terms:

    • We may update these Terms at any time; continued use of our services constitutes acceptance.

  15. Limited Warranty:

    • Hipster Lasers products are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 30 days from the date of purchase.
    • Coverage Includes:
      • - Cracking, warping, or splitting under normal household use
      • - Engraving defects or fading that occur under normal conditions
    • Exclusions:
      • - Normal wear and tear
      • - Damage caused by misuse, accidents, dishwashers, exposure to extreme temperatures, or unauthorized modifications
      • - Damage caused by improper storage or maintenance
      • - Loss, theft, or intentional damage
    • Remedy:
      • If a covered defect is reported within the warranty period, Hipster Lasers will, at its sole discretion, repair the item, replace it with an equivalent product, or issue a refund equal to the purchase price.
      • Claims must be submitted via info@hipsterlasers.com along with proof of purchase or verification through our internal records.

Convention & Trade Show Sales Disclaimer

  • - All on-site and custom engravings are FINAL SALE.
  • - Inspect items upon purchase; defective items must be reported same day.
  • - Hipster Lasers is not responsible for lost or stolen items post-purchase.
  • - Event cancellations, carrier delays, or force majeure circumstances do not entitle refunds.
